A 1.5 acre Community Garden run by Shipley Eco-Action Group. This project is welcome to any new members in the local community to come and share knowledge of growing sustainable organic food, making healthy meals, caring for the environment, as well as socialising and making new friends. The group also shares and donates any surplus food to a local food bank and to local residents.
Current plans include adding a wildflower meadow, sensory garden, new hedgerow, forest garden, raised beds, large polytunnel, natural play area for children, a shelter, which enable the group to hold more events at the garden and a wildlife pond to attract wildlife and promote biodiversity.
‘Come down and join us, refreshments are provided and you will always be met by friendly faces and enthusiasm.’
